P.S. I Love You…

I was 13 years old when the Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan show. It was February 9th, 1964.

As their images flickered across our black and white Zenith television, the world changed forever. On that historic night in February they helped heal America.

Our country was still in a state of shock and profound grief as we tried to deal with the loss of our beautiful young President, John F. Kennedy, who had been violently taken from us on that sunny day in Dallas, November 22, 1963.

From the moment Ed Sullivan said, “Ladies & Gentlemen… The Beatles!”, hearts were made lighter, smiles replaced tears and hope returned. Their set that night is etched in my mind, heart and ears. Forever.
